What type of float is difficult to execute?

Floating is an important skill in learning the different strokes. Learning to float indicates that the student is ready for the next learning skill. It further shows the confidence of the swimmer in the water. Prone floating is an important skill for the freestyle/frontcrawl while back float is important for the backstroke. Aside from the prone float and back float, there are other types of float to explore, namely;

1. dead man's float
student performing the dead man's float

2. turtle float

3. jellyfish float.

The three types of float could be easy or difficult to some students. Among the three, which is easy and on the other hand, the difficult to execute? Share your opinion about the floating lesson.

Of all the three floats that have been thought to us last meeting, I think that the easiest float to execute, for me, is the turtle's float whilst the hardest one would be the deadman's float. It seems like it's easier for me to float if my body's curled up.

The most difficult float for me is the Jellyfish float. Jellyfish float is difficult because you have to bend your body and you need to balance yourself for you to be able to float. While the easiest float is the turtle float because its really easy to float when your body is curled up like a fetus.

For me, the deadman's float is the easiest float to execute because i just need to stretch my body and act like a dead person and the difficult float for me is the jellyfish float because i need to bend my whole body to perform this float.

The easiest float to execute is the dead man's float, because for me I can just play dead and let my body float in the water while jelly fish float is the hardest for me, because I should learn how to bend my body with proper balance in order for me to execute this float.

the easiest for me would be the dead man's float which has less effort than the other forms of floating. the difficult float for me would be the turtle coz i sort of panic when i curl up in water and i sink when i try to do that float.

For me, it's turtle float. Because, on my first try, it's my head who's floating and not my back. I tried to bow my head a little more but no effect. So I prefer the Dead man's float and Jellyfish float coz' I can do it easily.

Actually sir, those three we're difficult at first. but when you keep on trying to do the right positions and such things, it will be easy enough to form the right floating positions.

All of the three floats require one to be really relaxed in the water. Relaxing while lying is quite easy, but relaxing while one is curled up is not. So, I found it easy to do the dead man's float; actually it came naturally. But the jellyfish float was difficult for me because not only did I have to relax, I also had to have a perfect form while staying afloat.

  11. for me the difficult float was the jellyfish float, because, it's hard for me to glide forward and to form your body like an X , on the other hand, the easiest float for me was the dead's man float, because it's just like relaxing your upper body and your arms to float, and act like a dead, easy as that.

For me the difficult float was the jellyfish it's hard to do but it conserve energy when you are in trouble in the water, or waiting to be rescued. And the easiest float is turtle.float because it's comfortable, the face, raise the knees and encircle the knees with arms.. .

for me, the type of float that is difficult to execute is the turtle float because you have to perfectly bow your head and curve your body as well. Your head and arms must have the same point of direction so that you can get the turtle float right. While the dead man's float is much easier because you just have to float like a dead people literally.

As of me the dead man's float is quite hard but easy to apprehend. The only issue about the dead man's float is that the hands and arms must float as well. And of course the turtle float is quite easy since I'm familiar with its concept. The lesson was taught previously when I was in swimming class last year

All of these 3 floats is hard to learn, but the real thing to practice for me is the turtle float, because it takes a lot of effort and flexibility to be able to do it. And the easiest float i think is the dead man's float, being able to spread wide your arms and legs and inhaling at the right time, you'll be able to do it. :D

All of these floats are hard to learn just like what Mr. Yuson said. But for me the most difficult is the jellyfish float. Because compared to the turtle and deadman floats. I am not yet familiar of how to do this jellyfish float. But I know that I will make it better at the next time with the help of my teacher.

The most difficult type of float to execute for me is the dead man's float because I can't spread my arms and legs properly so I kind of sink. The type of float that I like most is the turtle float because you just have to curl up your body.

Among the three floats, i had a difficulty in executing the turtle float because i find it hard to perfectly tuck my body and float. On the other hand, the kind of float that i find the easiest to do is the dead mans float because you'll just do it naturally and with less effort.

  22. It's interesting to see how differently people feel about these floats! I thought everyone would have a hard time with the deadman's float (that's the one I'm worst at), but I guess it's pretty mixed. I want to get my kids into swimming lessons as soon as possible so they can become proficient at all three. http://www.kingstonpool.com.au
